Trends in Higher Education - DIT Higher Education Policy Seminar Series

DIT will host a seminar on “Trends in Higher Education” as part of the DIT Higher Education Policy Seminar Series. The seminar will share perspectives and insights from two leading contributors to research and analysis for policy development in higher education. Particular issues to be addressed will include the organisation of higher education, clarity of public policy objectives for higher education and the extent to which they are satisfied, through to institutional diversity, metrics and rankings. Patrick Callan will give a US perspective to be followed by an EU perspective from Ellen Hazelkorn.
The President of DIT, Brian Norton will welcome guests and introduce the principal speakers. Following their 40 minute presentations there will be an open discussion moderated by Mike Murphy, Director and Dean, College of Engineering and Built Environment.
The seminar is aimed at higher education institutional leaders, senior policy makers and their advisors, and higher education policy researchers.
