Esther Tippmann, PhD Candidate, DIT College of Business and her co-supervisors, Dr. Pamela Sharkey Scott, Research Fellow, DIT College of Business and Prof Vincent Management, E.M. Grenoble

From over 1,100 submissions to the Annual Conference of the Strategic Management Society 2010, the paper contributed by Esther Tippmann, PhD Candidate, DIT College of Business and her co-supervisors, Dr. Pamela Sharkey Scott, Research Fellow, DIT College of Business and Prof Vincent Management, E.M. Grenoble on the Contribution of Subsidiary Middle Managers to Knowledge Development was selected as one of the five finalists for the SMS Best Conference Paper Prize for Practice Implications. The Strategic Management Society is the world’s leading strategic management association with over 2,500 members in 60 countries, and its official outlet the Strategic Management Journal is consistently rated as one of the top publications in the management arena.

Other awards received by Esther to date include the ‘Micheal Z Brooke Prize for the Best Doctoral Paper’ at the Academy of International Business (UKI & Ireland Chapter) Annual Conference 2010, and the ‘Best Dissertation Proposal Award’ of the International Management Division at the 2010 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Montreal.
